Information about the one-day seminar titled: Problems in the maintenance procedures in the real estate cadastre - Hotel Kontinental March 12, 2010

Organized by the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre and supported by the Project titled ‘Capacity Building for the Implementation of the Strategic Plan of AREC 2009-2013 – funded by Sida (the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency), in the Kontinetal Hotel on March 12, 2010, a training course was held for cadastral clerks – lawyers – that work on the procedures for registering real estate rights in the Real Estate Cadastre Centre – Skopje and the real estate cadastre (REC) branch offices, titled:
- Problems in the maintenance procedures in the real estate cadastre.
The end goal of this training is to harmonize the work of all cadastral clerks that are working on the registering real estate rights procedures, in the maintenance procedure of REC, and representatives of the following institutions were present at the seminar: the Chamber of Notaries, the Chamber of Enforcement Officers, representatives from the First Instance Court Skopje 2 – Skopje and the Administrative Court of the Republic of Macedonia.

The seminar was opened by introductory speeches made by the Director of AREC Mr. Ljupco Georgievski, Mr. Zlatko Nikolovski – President of the Chamber of Notaries and Mr. Antonio Koshtanov – President of the Chamber of Enforcement Officers, while approximately eighty employees of AREC and twenty guests – representatives of the abovementioned institutions took active participation.
The conclusions of the one-day seminar were that there will be a working group made, consisting of representatives of AREC, the chambers (enforcement officers/notaries) and the courts, fro harmonizing the work among these institutions, and regular meetings will be held in future in order to improve the services that are provided for the citizens.
Due to the currency of the one-day seminar, several media took interest in the event, and it was covered in the news section of several TV stations and newspapers.
